Question 1:George Washinton didn't want to be presedent any more because he didn't want people to think he was a king.

1. George Washington is stating that the people have a right to say what they feel. They are the American citizens and they have a right. The right to be heard and acknowledged by him as their president and there fellow American friends. They can always come together as one. they should be proud and happy to show their patriotism instead of rebelling and being angry at the world. George Washington doesn't want his country to feel as if he is taking his job to serious and being way overpowering.
2.To show the people how he feels. wants to explain to them why he would give up every thing he has achieved in order for them to feel comfortable. That they have a right to a freedom of speech.

Question#1-George Washington was concern about the United States trade because they were barely getting to know the people the United States was going to do commerce with.He said that they shouldn't have that much trust on the other states and to have "little connection as possible."
